Have you been scammed by an agency purporting to be "private investigators"?
Have you noticed an agency claiming ABI membership but not featured in our directory?

The Association of British Investigators (ABI) takes the integrity of our profession seriously. ABI members adhere to an industry-leading code of ethics and professional standards, which are enforced through a robust disciplinary process.
However, the ABI cannot enforce accountability for agencies operating outside its vetted membership. Nonetheless, where possible, we are committed to assisting members of the public who fall victim to unscrupulous opportunists masquerading under the unprotected title of “Private Investigator.”
While the ABI does not maintain a public complaints register, we encourage anyone who believes they have been affected by a rogue investigator or has witnessed misuse of the ABI name or logo to contact us directly.
