The ABI has a strict policy on the use of tracking devices by its members and considers this to be the acceptable industry standard.

The workshop will cover the ABI policy in depth and extend to the legal considerations for the use of tackers, how to correctly carry out a risk assessment and the proper way to deploy and retrieve equipment.

The workshop will compare cost, suppliers and operational efficiency of devices.

What to bring with you:

You should have with you some writing materials – pen and notepad.

You may need to go outdoors to carry out an exercise so suitable clothing should be brought for the weather conditions at the time.

For all IT related workshops, such as Open Source / Tracing and Tracker subjects, bring a laptop that can connect to the Internet wirelessly (a tablet may not be suitable).

If attending a Tracker workshop and you possess a GPS Tracking device then please bring it with you, fully charged along with its instruction manual if you have one. You will need its log-in details.

You may be provided with handouts during the workshop. A suitable folder to put them in would be useful.
