In recognition of the life-saving work carried out by the NHS over the last year in relation to COVID, which has undoubtedly benefited both ABI members and their families; the ABI Benevolent Fund trustees unanimously agreed to make this donation.
The ABI Welfare Officer John McNulty was proud to hand over a cheque for £1,000 on Wednesday 3 March 2021 at the Royal Derby Hospital.
An NHS official commented: Thank you for your kind offer of a donation to the Derby and Burton NHS Trust. The donation will be best used for supporting our staff welfare initiatives during these difficult times. Amongst others we are funding mental health first aider training courses, physical activity sessions and providing areas to reflect and rest.
