Independent Investigation ServiceFor Both The Public and Private Sector - Specialising In Child Protection, Misconduct, Grievance And Dignity At Work Investigations.
I have two companies - SC Investigative Services Ltd and INVEC Investigation Services. Working for the Welsh Government, Local Authorities, the NHS, Welsh Ambulance Service and private companies, our partners have a vast amount of experience from within both the police and education environments. One has over 26 years of investigative experience from the police service, the majority of that conducting complex investigations whilst on CID and Special Branch and the other has over 35 years’ experience within the education environment as a head teacher and union caseworker, from investigating staff and parental complaints through to presenting cases at misconduct and appeals hearings and dealing with employment law. I also have 5 years’ experience of conducting investigations for the Welsh Government Independent Investigation Service in relation to child protection investigations, for disciplinary purposes, involving staff in schools throughout Wales and have worked with Local Authorities in both North and South Wales. We provide a service working within current Welsh Government legislation, particularly Welsh Government Circular 002/2013, Disciplinary And Dismissal Procedures For School Staff, the Staffing of Maintained Schools (Wales) Regulations 2006 and The Staffing of Maintained Schools (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2014 where, Local Authorities and/or Governing Bodies are obliged to appoint an Independent Investigator. In addition, we investigate other matters where requested, including complaints relating to the National Reading and Numeracy Tests, Stage 2 complaints falling under Welsh Government Circular 011/2012, Complaints Procedures For School Governing Bodies In Wales where complaints have been made against Governing Bodies, Head Teachers and schools and also corporate complaints for Local Authorities. We also undertake disciplinary, dignity at work and grievance investigations on behalf of the NHS and Welsh Ambulance Service. We provide a full service from the initial meeting at which the terms of reference of the investigation are set, through identifying and interviewing witnesses, securing and presenting documentary and physical evidence, interviewing the staff member(s) concerned, providing a comprehensive, bound, report containing findings of fact and, where necessary, will attend disciplinary proceedings and any subsequent appeal and/or industrial tribunal. We are also able to provide a bi-lingual service - English & Welsh.
