About the course

This 2 day course is open to anyone who carries out investigations in order to gather evidence in Anti-Social Behaviour matters, in support of obtaining anti-social behaviour orders from the Courts.

What Students can expect

Over the two days, skills are taught that are necessary for gathering evidence by covert means, mainly by static surveillance and the use of camera equipment. This is supported by the legal aspects of obtaining authority, the obtaining of, and the continuation of evidence in a manner that is acceptable to the Courts.

The course covers:

• Planning, preparation and reconnaissance
• Static surveillance methods
• Report and log writing
• Eyewitness testimony
• Covert CCTV
• Preservation and continuation of evidence in accordance with CPIA 1996
• Legal procedure and authority under RIPA 2000

This course is usually run for - and tailored around - individual companies or organisations. The subject matter can be adapted to suit the client’s own requirements. It can be run at either the ISS Training venue or at the client’s premises.
