Until UK Government licensing for investigation in the private sector is in place, in an effort to continually create a safer environment for those seeking investigative and ancillary services, in addition to stringent vetting measures, enforced code of ethics and best practice policies, every UK based member of the Association of British Investigators is regularly subjected to a criminal record check (introduced for all UK membership 2010 renewals).
