ABI and FEDERPOL forge closer international links
Guglielmo Conti, the President of FEDERPOL, the leading Italian federation of Private Investigators presents shield and banner to ABI President, Tony Imossi in London on 23 September 2002.
In a letter to Guglielmo Conti following the visit Tony Imossi stated:
“One of my personal goals is that the ABI is able to have a significant influence with its planned Data Protection Best Practice Policy (DP) for the common interest of all Investigators in this country and throughout Europe. We will try and converge the debate on DP with the licensing debate as in this area we certainly do have influence at a senior level.
It was particularly refreshing to find that you and I have similar priorities and thoughts on the future of our industry with an emphasis on training. I am much encouraged by Federpol’s membership of IKD and am confident that if all my counterparts within the IKD family think as you and I then we should in time be able to shift some influence on a common licensing system and less draconian DP enforcement for a European professional PI industry.”

FEDERPOL, the leading Italian federation of Private Investigators, was established in 1957. It is based in Rome and represents the interests of Investigators licensed by the Interior Ministry, meeting all regulatory requirements.
